During this special topics course, we’re exploring the history of typography from Renaissance Italy to the present. Each week our instructor, Eric Karnes, presents a lecture as well as a demonstration of traditional calligraphic and typographic techniques which we practice as a class. Through this course, I’ve been able to take concepts from the development of typography and apply them to my own design process.
