OCD Foundation Medical Journal

OCD is much different than how it’s typically portrayed. It’s more than washing your hands or liking when things are “just-so.” It is a personality disorder characterized by excessive orderliness, perfectionism, attention to details, and a need for control in relating to the self and others. I drew on my experience with OCD to create a medical journal that could be used by mental health professionals. Medical journals can often be poorly designed, sterile, and lacking in humanity. I wanted to visually portray this very abstract feeling of OCD from an authentic and human perspective.
