Moose Candles: Packaging

The winter months can be very difficult for me. That’s why I made this winter candle gift box to remind myself, and others, that there’s always hope and something beautiful to find in darkness. Included in this kit are two jar candles, three taper candles, matches, and a wick trimmer. The outside of this box represents the cold, dark, snowy months of winter. The microscopic images of snowflakes come from Wilson Bentley’s studies in the late 1800s. He discovered that no two snowflakes are alike. Once the package is opened, a golden yellow envelops viewers, as if they are entering the warm inside of a cabin or home. The copywriting inspires winter joy and warmth rather than sadness. The names of the two candles “Easy Wind” and “Downy Flake” come from Robert Frost’s poem “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.”
